The life force

just below the skin bark still flowing strong.

Do they know?

My skin touches yours, my mind whispers thank you and sorry.

My inhale is your exhale.

Just for a while longer.

Poem written last year at Wyming Brook nature reserve as a response to approx. 800 trees being cut down due to disease.
